    JEPARA TOURISM OBJECT
    GENERAL REVIEW
    This plot located at Bucu village sub-district Kembang 30 km nort from Jepara city. This waterfall has the height 80 m and width 2 m. According to he strong that spread among local villagers that enemy body will be stay young after taking a bath or washing their face there.
    The nature scenery around the plot is so beautiful and the air is also relaxing, and make this place comfortable to visit as recreation area. You can meet various kind of butterflies with many beautiful color. To reach the plot you may use 2 wheel vehicle or 4 wheel vehicle with asphalt road.

    HISTORY
    A long time ago there way a young man came from Tunahan village maded a love relationship with a young beautiful young lady from Dukuh Sumanding Bucu village sub-district Kembang. Their relationship continued until marriage. It was hld that between Tunahan village nad Bucu village there was a rive (now the river become waterfall).
    In the old day a young man who wanted to propose a young lady had to bring kitchen set such as frying pan, plate, flass,etc, and also brought live short such as buffalo, cow, sheep,etc. At dawn the wife was having initiative to preparing the breakfast, because a little bit careless, she made boise from the kitchen set.
    because of the noise, her mother warned her "Don't get nois, cause it will make you husband awake". Her husband hearth that and misss inter-plated what his mother in las said as". Why you make some noise, When you work, do you think it is husband's stuff???
    Right at the time the husband felt so annoyed with his mother in law's words, so in the middle of the night the couple left from the house to move to her husband origin by riding a cart which was pul;l by cow. it was so dark that the went to the wrong road (got lost), and they felt that the car fell to the cliff (known as Songgolangit waterfall) and they were missing in action. his legend is so wide spread among local villagers, so that become a prohibition between people from Tunahan village and Bucu village to be husband and wife, as they will meet to many obstacles in their relationship. Songgolangit waterfall, that is why people call it, because if you look the waterfall from the bottom, the waterfall looks supporting the sky. It was tall that the waterfall was guarded by a couple husband and wife that were participating in guarding the tourists comfortability who were enjoying the beuty of the plot, cause they felt that the tourists were their guests to be respected and guarded their security and comfortability.     JEPARA TOURISM OBJECT IN COUNTRY INDONESIAN

    INTRODUCTION

    One of the mainstay toursm object in Jepara is Portuguese fortress which is located at Banyumanis village, Keling Subdistric or 45 km North of Jepara city, and to reach it is not too difficult because the roal is paved and has regular transportation.

    Geographycally this fortress seems strategic for military importance specially in the past which the canno's range of shooting is only 2 to 3 km.     HISTORY
    In 1619, Jayakarta / Sunda Kelapa City was invaded by the Dutch's VOC, and now Sunda Kelapa which was renamed Batavia was considered at the beginning of colonialism by the Dutch Imperialism in Indonesia. The King of Mataram Sultan Agung has gelt the danger threatening the drop of Jayakarta city to the hand of the Dutch. That's way the king prepared his soldiers to drive out the Dutch.
    This Mataram king's strong will was executed succesivelly in 1628 to 1629 which was ended by the lost of Mataram soldiers.

    The lost made Sultan Agung thought that VOC can be defeated only through and sea attack together, on contrary Mataram did not have a strong sea armada, so they need help from the 3 th party who also against VOC, Portuguese.

    The deal between Mataram and Portuguese held and for the first step, Portugurse placed his troops in the fortress which was built by Mataram in 1632. This fortress is clearly very eggective to watch the sea cruise from Jepara which became Mataram's main harbor for export and import. But the cooperation between Mataram and Portuguese could not be realized to drive the Ductch out in Batavia, even in 1642 the Portuguese left this fortress because Malacca as Portuguese's main city East Asia has been snatched away by the Dutch in 1641.     Tirta Samudra Beach





    GENERAL DESCRIPTION
    Tirta Samudra Beach or more known by the public society with Bandengan beach placed + 7 km. North side from city centre. The beach which has pure water and write sand is suitable for bathing place. There are many tourists come into this object to do intentional bathing place. There are many tourists come into this object to do international bathing frequently. Generally they are children, youngsters and foreign countries tourists. Usually, the most favorite moment is in the morning and in the evening toward twilight where there is mesmerizing susset panorama.
    In this clack, we can sit and relax on the shelter while enjoy the natural beach breezy wind (unpolluted). The tourism object location has large field and tje whole of part the dence pandan trees are grown. It is suitable for young sters activities such as camping, beach volley, relax bicyled for the same activities. Besides the above montatained below, in this area can be usedf the play motorcross and kitten festival for the regional level, national level also international. The object can be reached easily by public transportation, because have provided the asphalt road infrastructure and the direet city transportation are a valuable to the location above. Meanwhile, roasted fish, small crab, boiled tortoise shell and pindang srani are a special foods that can be enjoyed by the visitors.



    HISTORY AND LEGENDA
    Based on history record, Bandengan Beach has tight correlation with the life of National Hero and Woman Emansipation fiogure, RA. Kartini. The mentioned beacs was interesting place for the sins and daighters of Jepara Regency Regent, because there were may sweet memorizes there. The energtic girl who was usually calles trinil often made a tour to the Bandengan beach when she was child. She played with her family in the edge of beach which the white and spread out. RA. Kartini described her heart and soul as if she was one to the sea wave pounding when she wrote letters to stella, her friend in holland.
    Netherlands Indies Aristricrate, Ms. Ovink Soer (Assistance Residence wife) with her husband invited Kartni and Her little sisters Roekmini and Kardinah to enjoy the beach beauty in the first vacationtoward promotion of the class.     Besides Bandengan beach was the part where had carved the history journey of RA Kartini idea. In this place Ra Kartini and Mr. Abendano also conducted four eyes conversation. The conversation connected her request to study in Holland, even finally her formal request to Netherlands Indies Goverment was reversed and the cost of her study was given to young man from Sumatera, Agus Salim (KH> Agus Salim).
    While it was narrated that Bandengan beach tourism object had correlated with the l;egend of Karimunjawa name. In that legend had been stated that because it was otivated the sense concern about his son naughtiness, therefore. Sunan Muria instructed his son Amir Hasan to go the North for an island that appeared "Kremun-kremun" from the peak of Muria Mountain. Lather the Island has been named Karimunjawa. That arrived to the beach in the journey and there were many swamps and milk fishes there. Until now this place had been named Bandengan village and the beach which place in the village had been called Bandengan Beach.

    USUAL REVIEW
    Kartini Beach is located at 1,2 km westward of the hall of Jepara REgency. This tourist object belongs to Bulu village, Jepara Sub-district. Various supporting vasilities such as port, a part of kura-kura aquarium, motel, childreb playground (komedi putar, mandi bola perahu arus) are available. Quite cool atmosphere around the beach gives different impression to the visitors, for this place is appropriate for family recreation or just for relax.
    In this place, visitors are able to take a rest by sitting under the gazebo and the breathing the fresh air. Area with 3,5 ha large is strategic area, because it is functioned as sea transportation port toward karimunjava National Sea Park and Panjang Island.
    kartini beach can't be separated from traditional event called "Lomban" it is all day long Jepara's People annualy event held on 8 Syawal (a week after lebaran day).

    LEGEND AND STORY
    Actually, Kartini beach is more popular as "PEMANDIAN". This nick name is common to most of Jeparanese. If someone mentions a word "Pemandian", that he or she thinks Kartini Beach, not the other thinks Kartini Beach, not the other places.
    The worl "PEMANDIAN" means a place for taking a bath. The use of the word "Pemandian" is common, because there is a special bathing place for tourist while visiting the beach. The place is located on the western park of Kartini Beach. Visitors usually take bath at dosk and down. Until now this location is still used for taking a bath especially b people who have skin irritation with a hope that the irritation will recover soon.
    Kartini Beach area was an island sprouted up with kelor plan, so it was know as kelor Island. Because of the sedimentation, among the island was lived by the Netherland Indies Government to Encik Lanang for his achievenment on a war in Bali.
    kartini Beach also used as Encik Lanang Ggrave yard, and always attended by the local fishermen before th e lomban party.
    Besides that, kartini beach can't be seoarated from RA Kartinis childhood. She and her parent and also her sisters spent their vacation in this beach. That's name is purposed to respect and remaind us to Kartini's stronggle.

    The "Gong Senen" Legend

    When Jepara was ruled by Kanjeng Adipati in the previous occurred a miracke by sudden existence of a set of "Gamelan" than the origin is unknown. Than Kanjeng Adipati tried to secure and played the "Gamelan" but it can bot make any sound.
    It has been traditioned in Jepara Regency that every date 28 (once for each month) entire LURAH and TOKOH MASYARAKAT all over Jepara Regency region conduct a pisowanan agung in Pendopo Kabupaten (Regent Hall) by carrying agricultural products from their region as a sign of respect and submit to Kanjeng Adipati (asok glondong pangareng-ngareng). Then at that time, Kanjeng Adipati Jepara mentioned about a set of Gamelan that mysteriously appear, to all of the audience, Kanjeng Adipati at this meeting, told about the problem of this silence gamelan, then Adipati gave a chain to all of the the Lurah and Tokoh Masyarakat to play the gong / gamelan by one.
    On Lurah Senenan's cycle, the gamelan can make a sound, so Kanjeng Adipati give a mandate to Bapak Lurah Senenan to taking care of the gamelan and playing it up to now.
    When Kanjeng Gusti Pakubuwono from Surakarta Hadiningrat Kingdom has a visit to Kadipaten Jepara, he was willing to take and bring the set of gamelan to keraton Surakarta and replaced it with gamelan take from Keraton Surakarta Hadiningrat.

    The Traditional Event of Jepara

    The Traditional ceremony "Obor-oboran" is one of traditional ceremonies owned by the society of Jepara regency, especially Tegal Sambi village Tahunan district, which is the only one in Central Java and maybe in Indonesia.
    Torch (obor) in the ceremony is made by two or three roll of banana mid-rit and filled with dry leaves of bababa (Javanese:klaras).
    The prepared torchs are burnt together in order to be used as attacker. The bumped torches make a big redhot, eventually people call it "Perang Obor" (Torch War).
    THE HISTORY OF PERANG OBOR
    The traditional ceremony Perang Obor, which is performed at Pahing Monday in the night of Pon Tuesday in the month of Dzulhijah every year, is held by the tegal Sambi villagers basic faith of the past event hapenned in the village.
    it is said that in the 16th century there was a rich farmer named Mbah Kyai Babadan in Tegal Sambi village. He has a lot of cattle, especially buffalo and cow.
    It was impssible for him to look after the castle by himself, so he looked for and got a sheoherd named Ki Gemblong. Ki Gemblong was very diligent in looking after those animals. He bathed them in a river every morning and evening, consequently the catlle grew healthy and fat. Kyai Badadan felt so happu and flattered Ki Gemblong for his diligence and obedience in tacking after the cattle.
    Oneday, Ki Gemblong caught the fish and shrimps almost everyday. He forgot aboat his duty as s shepherd. As the result, the buffalows and cows become weak and sick even death. This cattle by magic formulas but it didn't work.
    Finally Kyai Babadan fond out the reason why his cattle become weak and sick. it was because Ki Gemblong liked to catch come fish and shrims to be cooked and caten more than looked after those animals.
    Kyai Babadan was so angry. finding Ki Gemblong cooked the fish, Kyai Babadan hit Ki Gemblong with a torch made by coconut palm. Ki Gemblong also took the some torch to face Kyai Babadan.
    The torch war finally began. The fire from the torch spread every where and burnt up stubble next to the stable. The fire made the bufallos and cows run away and unexpectedly the sick animals healed even where able to stand upright and ate in the field.
    The unexpected and amazing event was finally accepted by Tegalsambi villagers as a miracle, that by the torch war all disease would be healed.
    Nowadays, the traditional ceremony "Perang Obor" in used as away of sedekah bumi, (as) an expression of thanks to god for his mercy to the Tegalsambi villager. The ceremony is heeld once a year.

    The History Of Lomban Party

    BODYGROUND
    Lomban party in Jepara used to be a fisherman's party in Jepara area, nowadays Lomban party belongs to all Jeparanese. This party is the top of Lebaran day celebration, held a week after Lebaran day.
    Lomban party is also called as "Bakda Kupat". Jepara people celebrate the Lomban party with several traditional food like "Lepet" and "Kupat", that's why Lomban is also know as "Bakda Kupat" instead of "Lepet" and "kupat", Japaranese also serve other delicious foods such as : opor ayam, sambal goreng, oseng-oseng,etc.
    Kupat is a popular food during the Lebaran day celebration to Indonesia people particularly to Central Java people. Kupat is made of rice convered with young leaves of coconut tree which is rectangularly shaped with young leaves of coconut tree which is rectangularyl shaped, while "Lepet" (another traditional food served durting Lebaran day) is made of sticky rice, added with special flavour, also covered with young leaves of coconut tree, same with "kupat" but has different is shape. Jeparanese celebrate the Lomban party by visiting the tourist object in Jepara Regency. The most favourite tourst object is Kartini Beach.
    The Word "Lomban" comes from "Lomba" Which means "compete" there is also opinion which all that the word of "Lomban" comes from the word "Lelumban" which means "Pleasure".

    The Legend and History of Jepara Art of Carving

    Fairy story
    It was tall that a great carver and painter named Prabangkara who lived during Prabu Brawijaya's administration of Majapahit Kingdom. Once upon a time asked Prabangkara to make a painting of the wueen. The king would give the painting as his expression to his wife who was well know for her beauty.
    The naked painting could be completed by Prabangkara and of course this meet King Brawijaya wonder, because in the certain parts of the queen body there was birth sign that could also be found in the picture with strong similarity. the king decided to cast Prabangkara away by binding him and his carving and painting tools on a kite, after the kite flew away in the sky, the rope was cut by the king.
    While the kite swang, Prabangkara carving tools fell down on a village name as "Belakang Gunung" close to Jepara town center. in this village there also may great carver who have special skill. no supporting data which prove that existence of great carving was influenced by The Prabangkara's tools.

    DESCENT
    In the time of queen Kalinyamat administration, lived a governor named Sugging Badarduwung. the governor came from Camp (Cambodia) was a carver. Now his high valuecarving block can be found in queen Kalinyamat's grave which was built in 16th century.

    The Fall of Majapahit Kingdom has caused the spread of Hindu artist to many regions in the beginning of 16 th century. in the expansion, the artist keep expanding their skill by adapting the special motif in the new region. the mixture between original hindu motif and special motif in the new regional create new motif such as Majapahit, Bali, mataram and Jepara motif which are developing in Jepara.

    The history and legend of "Hian Thian Siang Tee"

    OVERVIEW
    Welahan Pagoda called "Hian Thiam Siang Tee" is located 24 km south of Jepara city center, exactly at Welahan village, Welahan sub-distric, Jepara Distric, a villa with ancient Chinese heirloom and becoming one of the historic tourism assets in Jepara, where strongly standing two pagodas built by a Chinese traditional healer named Tan Siang Boe together with historic object, some asphalted road or inflastructure though whom prospective tourists can pass by and get on-2wheeled or 4-wheeled vehicles or many other public transports, as the location is nearby Welahan traditional market.
    HISTORY AND LEGEND
    in 1830 the Dutch General Governor, johanes Graaf Bosch reignig Indonesia, whioch was called as the Netherlands Indies Cononization at that time coming a Chinese from China called Tan Siang Boe. brother named Tan Siang Djie in one boat was a Tasugagu priest who had meditated from Pho To San at Cinese land, as a meditative place of his excellency minister / emperor Hian Thiam Siang Tee during his trip and falling in sick, than with his solidarity and sympathy among people, Tan Siang Boe treated him with his medicines brought with from china, than he could cure Tasugagu's sickness.

    Descent of Jepara Front Gallery

    This from Gallery was built by Adipati Citro Sumo III in 1750. He was 23th leader of Jepara and ruled for 22 years during 1730 to 1752, while Kartini's father was the 31 th leader of Jepara, ruled 24 years during 1881 to 1905.
    This front verandah consist of several rooms:
    the front room is functioned as an important room to well ome special guest, held the official meeting, and also used place for traditional dancing practice, in this room, the originality of the building is well kept, including the floor vertical bar which are now covering which carving block, the landmark of jepara. the roof was restored in 1980 by Dinas Purbakala but the restoration did not change the originil shape.
    paringitan room, this room is also well keep. proven by the originality of the floor and the vertical bars. it is functioned as room to welcome important guest and sometimes used as room to welcome important guest and sometomes used as public dinniing room.
    rono kaputren is a name of room which is only functioned as bedroom for the daughters of the head of Jepara Regency. marked woth special hole carving, while rono kaputran, room for the sons has no hole carving, on the left side of rono kaputran is aworking room of Jepara regency secretary adn on the right side. is working room for head of Jepara regency government.
    rono kaputren was used as room to tlimit kartini's activity when she was teenage. according to ancient Javanese culture, a teenage noble girl has to stay at home and conduct her activity inside until she get merried. family room was no longer used as it's real function,nowadays used as room the welcome very important guest.
